Alex Gessel
Early Years
Alex has a background of excellence both on the field as an athlete, and in the classroom as a student. In his youth, he prevailed over physical complications from severe allergies and some auto-immune dysfunction, as well as a reading comprehension issue from an undiagnosed vision problem to achieve elite status in most all his endeavors.
As a young boy, Alex was confronted with the loss of his maternal grandmother due to congenital heart failure, whom he was very close with as his family had even lived with his grandparents for the first several years of his life. He also vividly recalls in detail the struggles of a close classmate and her family after losing their home to a fire. From a very young age, life experiences helped to foster his innate sense of empathy for other people and life’s struggles.
Adulthood
As an adult, Alex has applied the same persistence and tenacity he exhibited in his youth in his Family Business. Despite his Academic and Athletic Abilities, he made the decision to leave college after one semester and focused on something he was passionate about; working with his family to help other families, individuals, and businesses protect and financially secure some of the things which matter most in our lives.
Alex is part of an executive leadership team which, in tandem with his father and Gessel & Associates Founder Larry, has grown our small-town agency to servicing an area over dozens of states. During his tenure, our team at Gessel & Associates has ascended to new levels of success and client experience, achieving frequent recognition including multiple Agency of the Year Awards from various partners.
Today
Alex and his wife Anna currently reside near the Dublin suburb of Columbus, Ohio. Not far from where he spent much of his youth and our agency was founded in London, Ohio. They both share a deep passion for many things in life; travel and culture, movies and entertainment, nature, sports and fitness, as well as food and art. He remains part of our executive leadership and focuses on taking Gessel & Associates to the pinnacle of success and client experience.
